Using recent government guidance, prohibited working to ensure your safe reopening of our own play areas and backyard gyms.

The guidance being adopted is complex and involves risk assessments of all play areas so that will visitors are protected whenever possible. We have over A HUNDRED AND FIFTY play area facilities and at the same time brings slightly different challenges in ensuring they are able to re-open safely, it’s not a simple investment or quick activity.

We are working by using Ansa, our wholly-owned surroundings services company, and our parks team to accomplish all we can to ensure users of the engage in areas and outdoor gym equipment are going to be as safe as possible against the risk of the coronavirus by adhering to all the necessary deterrence and protection measures.

With the scale of the task as well as the time needed to handle thorough risk assessments we are going to be reopening facilities over a phased basis. The aim should be to reopen the larger features first, but this will be relying on whether the appropriate measures can be put in place.
Play areas and outdoor gym equipment at the following places will reopen out of Monday 6 July:

Adlington Roads, Bollington Recreation Ground, Bollington
Alderley Store, Ryleys Lane, Alderley
Barony Meadow, Barony Road, Nantwich
Boddingtons engage in area, The Carrs, Chancel Highway, Wilmslow
Congleton Park, Park your car Road, Congleton
Fountains Area, Middlewich
Meriton Road Store, Meriton Road, Handforth
Milton Park, Crewe Road, Alsager

Other facilities will re-open at once.
Councillor Laura Crane, Cheshire Far east Council’s cabinet member having responsibility for green room, said: “I know that lots of children across the borough include greatly missed using our play areas, especially inside the nice weather that we’ve had recently. These thoughts are echoed from the many residents who happen to be keen to further their fitness routine inside our outdoor gym areas.

"I’d like to thank everyone for subsequent government advice and with regard to respecting the closures that we had to put in place.

“The news that we are able to start reopening our features was very welcomed but I urge residents to be patient as we do the job hard to risk assess every one of the areas and to take the correct action that is forced to make areas as safe that they can for all, it’s not simply a case of reopening gates and taking down shut signs”

“Our parks teams will work through the many brand new measures needed in light on the current Coronavirus pandemic. Users of the facilities will be reminded with the need to keep your distance from other clients and parents should be responsible for their children and ensure they play besides others, are respectful of lists for play equipment along with play considerately by definitely not hogging equipment that others are looking ahead to.

“Food will not become allowed in or surrounding the play areas and most of users, including children, will need to remember to wash their own hands or use hand sanitiser after while using equipment. Its important that consumers follow our guidance and make use of the areas responsibly, so everyone can enjoy them.

“The phased approached that people are taking means the fact that first date that a number our facilities will be ready is Monday SIX July.

"This date is slightly later approach provisional date given with the government, we understand that this may be frustrating to some residents, but I would urge everyone to obtain patience and only use our facilities when you have assessed them, and they are as safe as possible to try and do so. ”.
