Using Boris Johnson’s parliamentary speech yesterday, the UK government has announced that one leisure businesses can reopen from the following month.

However, not all leisure businesses and activities are given the green easy, as some are thought safer than others.

For clarification, here are the current rules around how when playgrounds are set in order to reopen.
When did enjoy areas close?
All inside leisure and sports amenities, such as gyms and also soft play areas were forced to close with England on 20 March at the start of the nationwide lockdown, although outdoor playgrounds were shut down on 23 March.

Any time will soft play areas reopen in England?
Inside England, outdoor playgrounds are already given the goahead to be able to reopen on 4 July in conjunction with restaurants, pubs, museums, hotels, and campsites.

However, the UK government site clarifies what has been known for quite a while now, that outdoor areas are far more unlikely to aid the spread of the virus than indoor spaces:

“Scientific advice suggests which the virus can survive for as long as several days on a nice selection of hard surfaces, particularly if indoors. These risks will be reduced when outdoors, where surfaces may perhaps be subject to UV easy and/or rain. ”

Since indoor areas are more at risk of increasing transmission than those outside, the government haven't yet given a time frame for when indoor enjoy areas can reopen.

Even though indoor cinemas are granted to reopen from July SOME, other indoor leisure parts must remain closed, for example swimming pools, water parks and bowling alleys.

The fresh social distancing advice, subsequent Boris Johnson’s speech to parliament on Tuesday 23 June, is for people to remain no less than one metre apart.

This rule could confirm tricky to follow throughout enclosed soft play regions and proper cleaning of spaces like ball pits, could in addition be difficult.

Mr Johnson reported: “As we begin that will reopen the economy, it’s important that we don't increase the risk of transmission and that's why “close proximity” venues like nightclubs, soft-play areas, inside gyms, swimming pools, drinking water parks, bowling alleys and spas will need to remain closed for currently.

“The Government is continuing to use these sectors to establish task forces to aid them to become COVID Secure and reopen at the earliest opportunity. ”

Concerns over the near future of soft play
The not enough clarification as to while indoor soft play parts can reopen has sparked criticism through the Association of Play Market sectors (API).

The group have today urged the Prime Minister to announce some clarification spend money on when they may once more open their doors as financial concerns around grow.

How could gentle play areas remain risk-free?
Soft play areas could also implement measures such while hand sanitiser stations, a one-way system across the soft play area, in addition to protective screens at reception.

The areas could as well be deep cleaned most of the electrostatic spray systems to stop the virus lingering with surfaces.

Visitor numbers can be limited to allow people to remain at a one metre distance from both.

However, there have been problems over whether such measures might be possible to enforce in such an environment.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Kelly Edwards, operator of Adventure Forest Engage in Centre in Trafford, said "Obviously the trouble is implementing social distancing about the play frame, especially for children. "
Additionally, planning for reopening proves difficult for soft play owners because of the lack of communication through the government, leaving them only to speculate what might be possible in future.

Edwards added "It continues to be proposed that schools likely have bubbles of children meaning children live in smaller groups with identical children. We could offer something that ties within this, so that those youngsters can play at Adventure Forest together because they are already together at school”

“But obviously at present we are waiting on government guidance to put in place particular plans. ".
