A retiring couple sell their four-bedroom home
A retiring couple sell their four-bedroom home regarding £850, 000 - and it comes complete with a CATTERY that has room for almost A HUNDRED cats.
Wendy and Graham Jones, who're both in their mid-70s, moved towards site of Timbers Cattery in Norwich, Norfolk, in 2007.
They said that 16 issue, the almost half-acre connected with land was a "very tiny, run-down place", with several small wooden sheds out the rear of their home.
But over time, the couple have poured all their time and money into completely renovating and refitting the cattery - which now incorporates a five-star animal welfare history, and is able for you to house 95 cats.
But these are now selling the individually-heated chalet accommodation for felines on holiday, as well as their four-bedroom home, as they will retire.
And former schoolteacher Wendy pronounces she and her husband's comments, who ran his private consultancy business, will miss "each and every one" in their furry guests.
Wendy said: "It is quite emotional to get parting with it : if it wasn't time for all of us to retire, I think we'd stay here forever.
"We've got to know our customers over the years, and many of them have grown our friends.
"We now see they of some of our former customers coming in, all grown up, and seeking to board their cats.
"I think we'd have started seeing a bundle of grandchildren soon, too. "
But Wendy said she and Graham are arranging to stay in Norwich - and definately will continue to visit the Cattery from time to time.
She said: "I hope whoever buys it will eventually enjoy having us around showing them the ropes. "
She said the company would suit a "dynamic, younger, cat-loving family".
The cattery charges £10 daily for individual cats, has 35 chalets from the garden, and the facilities employ a five-star animal welfare standing from South Norfolk Council.
It was completely refitted throughout 2016, meaning that an innovative owner will have the blessing of many years - with no need for further significant investment in the business.
It has recently re-opened after closing due to the Covid-19 outbreak - and is particularly full this month.
Special health concerns have been introduced, like the wearing of visors and increased cleaning to be sure the animals are safe and sound.
Selling agents Everett, Masson & Furby stated: "We are delighted to bring into the market what is, within our opinion, one of the greatest quality boarding catteries that people have had the delight of being appointed to market.
"Both the lovely spacious family home as well as the bespoke high quality cattery provide excellent high quality accommodaton for both humankind and cats alike.
"If you are looking at a cattery business as well as a property for yourself to stay in then look no further, as you will probably be hard pressed to beat what exactly is on offer here. ".
