儘管奧運閉幕式受時間限制，但場面一樣如開幕式般有意思，而各國運動員都懷著依依不捨的心情惜別今屆奧運會。
中央電視台向超過百名不同國家和膚色的運動員作現場訪問，個個對中國讚不絕口，而過往未必與中國友好的國家，更在比賽時舉起「謝謝中國」的名牌。這種認同，就不容任何戴有色眼鏡的人再造文章了。
我選擇用公共交通工具去參觀閉幕式，目的是想感受一下北京市的氣氛，九萬名觀眾在入場時秩序井然，離場亦無混亂。請記住八號地鐵線奧運公園站距離水立方及鳥巢都不算近，要步行的話起碼十多分鐘(如果用香港某傳媒集團的尺度又會話行死人或白天曬死人)，但沿途有飲食攤位，也有充足指示，而且人人開心及拍照留念，氣氛早就蓋過所有疲累。
北京之行最大的感受是人人都想北京做好奧運，我在東三環南路迷失方向，立即有市民義不容辭指路，就算不懂也教到我去奧運指示亭。北京除義工外還有志願者，在公交和路亭協助維持秩序。不要說這是共產主義下強逼，這全是市民自發做的，大家想為北京、為中國多行一步！
