有人問點解叫「殘奧」？香港一向說傷健一家親，我們RDA的中文名也是「傷健策騎協會」；但國內對Paralympic的叫法是「殘疾人奧運會」，而中國對傷健人仕的叫法一向是「殘疾人仕」──兩地文化不同，但既然中國是主辦國，香港奧運馬術一切用字用詞及官方譯名都要全依國內譯法。例如選手譯名，荷蘭女皇港方譯名一向是格倫絲溫，北京奧組委官方叫法是范格林絲芬；德國之花的港方譯法是和美，北京奧組委則譯沃思。殘疾人之名不是香港叫得對與錯的問題，而是要全盤接受這個官方叫法。
