Forgiveness

Some notes from a talk given by Heidi Baker

People had been hurt, they envy you because they feel inferior.  Then they started hurting you or betray you. When you went to the Father God in prayer, you can obtain strength to release forgiveness, kindness and mercy to them. If you allow bitterness inside your spirit, you erected a wall around you and you cannot receive things from the Father. When you forgive, you release that bitterness, your anger, and the feeling of being betray. You released them to the Father.  When you opened up yourself, you received his love again.  Jesus was also betrayed by his follower.  There is a fellowship of suffering when we united with Jesus Christ.  Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Remember, perfect love cast out fear.

By abiding in Christ, put down the burden and the pain at the feet of Jesus, rest at the chest of our God.

………………………………….

Jesus set a good example of forgiving others when He was crucified on the cross of Calvary. He prayed to the Father, requesting God to forgive the solders because they did not know what they were doing to the son of God.

How can a person change from unforgiving to forgiving?

Ø  support by prayer.

Ø  experiencing the love of God.

Ø  gradual surrender of life to Jesus. (衪必興旺,我必衰微))

Ø  Have an obedience heart.

Ø  Put our faith in God; recognize that the circumstances happened to us was within the will of God, under His control.

To forgive others is a decision.

Why forgive others?

Ø  Release healing.

Ø  A way to freedom ; set free of bitterness.

Ø  Unforgiving affect the growth of our spiritual life. Unforgiving leading to isolation, creating an enclosure wall, not open up ourselves to others (afraid of hurting again).

Ø  Do not reserve any place for the enemy. (不讓魔鬼留地步).

Ø  Obedience to God’s command.
