先是歐伯仁，再是好友昆士蘭十四屆冠軍練馬師麥樂倫，他在上周三辭世，享年六十七歲。
自己在澳洲養馬最投入的歲月，與麥樂倫合作無間，他的荊山園Thornhill Park是個五星級訓練場，由休憩、初步訓練到試閘，一條龍的服務再配合他的練馬功力，使他帶馬遠征攻無不克，當中包括春季冠軍大賽(「聖茱迪」)，考菲爾德堅尼(Chortle)及澳洲錦標(Virage De Fortune)等，令這位三百磅大肥佬的名氣家傳戶曉。
荊山園過終點後的上斜和急彎，令不少好馬在年稚時已適應了急彎出腳。「通勝」八捷谷草，就是麥樂倫的基本功打得好，之後再有「輝煌贏」及「輝煌之星」，但可以告訴各位，「富有心得」是荊山園訓練而引入香港最後一駒，因為這個訓練場開支實在過大，無法有效運作，結果整個分拆出售，而麥樂倫則遷往陽光海岸再設馬房。
但重整後的他更上高峰，今季更憑「飛凌隼將」包辦神奇百萬及金拖鞋孖寶！
