可能這個健康小疑點未必會影響六月尾的上陣機會，但為馬兒的長久健康起計，我決定將「富有心得」退出周三晚賽事，並即時宣告退役。
馬兒仍活躍地在馬房裡，我在周末仍有繼續探望牠，但周二早上廄主在馬房檢視牠的葫蘆骨時有輕微疼痛，儘管行動一切正常，食慾亦無減退，很多謝廄主負責任地告訴我，而我覺得最負責任的方法是當機立斷地告退，儘管馬兒的毛色自四五月開始回復鮮潤。
牠的退休部署我一早已安排好，牠會在古摩亞牧場替其父Danehill Dancer擔任湊細佬妹的角色，而月底牠將會送往檢疫。
雖然牠不能以勝利劃上競賽生涯的句號，但牠百多場來的奮鬥精神，我相信已深深烙在馬迷腦海裡。我對支持廄主在十歲繼續作戰無悔，而暑假我南下又會在古摩亞與「富有心得」這位湊仔公再重逢，養佢過世是我的責任。
