In times of trouble and the great storm, we should stand on the promises of God

Romans 8:38-39 “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away”.

Hebrews 13:5–6 “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.' So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'”

Philippians 4:7–8. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things

2 Corinthians 4:14–18 “Knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you…Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” .

Job 23:10, “When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.”

Some of the difficult things Paul faced, which he called “light afflictions” are recorded in 2  Corinthians 11:23–27: I have worked harder, been put in jail more often, been whipped times without number, and faced death again and again and again. Five different times the Jews gave me their terrible thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I was in the open sea all night and the whole next day. I have traveled many weary miles and have been often in great danger from flooded rivers and from robbers and from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the hands of the Gentiles. I have faced grave dangers from mobs in the cities and from death in the deserts and in the stormy seas and from men who claim to be brothers in Christ but are not. I have lived with weariness and pain and sleepless nights. Often I have been hungry and thirsty and have gone without food; often I have shivered with cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm.”

How could Paul refer to all he went though as his light affliction?” Paul withstood because he was sure that all things would work out for the glory of God see Romans 8:28. Even when we are going through persecution and trial, abuse and betrayal, heartache and bitter disappointment, we can have perfect peace that passes all human understanding. Never forget God has a plan to use even the difficult and disappoint events in our life to bring us into a deeper walk with Him. The devil means it for harm and hurt but God will use it for good. This peace is possible because we have the promise that we are coming through!

God has promised His abiding never failing presence in the mist of difficult and daring times. “Have not I commanded you? Be strong vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). God's promise are steadfast and sure He will never abandon you. The Psalmist states, I've been young now I am old but I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” (Psalms 37:25)

Sister flower:

Good morning!  I am glad that you like the song.

詩篇 18: 16-19

Bless you!

Trust in the Lord for He will take care of our daily needs because He is our loving Father. He is faithful to take good care of us for we are His children and we are precious to God.

Jesus is the pearl of great price. He is the greatest treasure we will ever find on earth.
