Epistemology=
The study of knowledge and rules of evidence involved. Traditionally a branch of philosophy, it also describes a discipline incorporated in, and in some respects peculiar to, individual fields of scholarship (medicine, science, history, etc.).

There are two ways to tackle the problem of learning English:
1. learn it by sound; and
2. learn it by meaning.
Most of us focus on the second point. However, Linguists learn by the whole, including these two points. Learning English is important in the past, and not the least nowadays. It is worthwhile to study because most useful and famous books are printed in or even translated into English.
In respect of the word 'Epistemology', it seems so queer to all of us when we first see it. The best way to handle this problem is shown in the following two points:
1. Go to http://hk.dictionary.yahoo.com/, type in the word 'Epistemology' and search. You get the Chinese meaning: 【哲】認識論. Then you solve half of the problem; and then
2. Go to http://www.wikipedia.org/, also type in the word 'Epistemology' and search. This time you get the English meaning:
