明天將舉行黃金海岸神奇百萬大賽，但大家都知道近日昆士蘭省天雨水災，上周末鷹園和黃金海岸的賽事也要取消，周三鷹園賽事亦然。雖然這兩天來布里斯本及黃金海岸天氣開始好轉，但神奇百萬主辦當局也做好應變計劃，倘若屆時場地不適合作賽，他們會考慮將整個四百三十萬澳元獎金的神奇百萬大賽日順延一天，改在周日舉行。這一切有待明天昆士蘭省賽馬局董事踩過場地才作定奪。事實上周二黃金海岸馬場的晨課，也因安全理由而取消，這一來是受天雨影響，二來則是為周末的大賽「鋪路」，避免場地遭過分踐踏。
