香港需要另一匹「百勝威」或「成功拍檔」般的前領形長途佳駟。
大家可以看到近季香港高班長途賽事，絕大部分時間欠步速，且撇開群駒密集易生意外，如場場好像今屆打吡一樣，前三段一分十七秒八九，最後狂爆兩段，益晒短途馬，那麼番跑十次就有十次不同賽果，馬迷相信會有無所適從的感覺。
「百勝威」在女皇盃締出頭三段是一分十三秒四，尾兩段也走四十六秒九，尾四段無一段在廿四秒之上，正式段段有，就是我們口中說的Genuinely Run Race，無咁嘅質素和長力，根本就無資格去贏長途一級賽。
香港馬迷想看清脆利落的賽事，而不是符符碌碌的頭馬。當然我們已無馬佳善或馬安東的步步推騎型騎師，就算有天生前領馬，不少騎師也喜歡吊住韁繩。
懷念笑傲江湖式的跑法，至少我們在「及時而出」「百勝威」身上現場看過。八九十後就無這些眼緣了。
