Life is Hard!?
Hello, My friends,
I've come to talk to you again.
On my diary, there is printed the following quote:-
When I hear somebody sigh, "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask, "Compared to what?" - Sydney J. Harris
My friends, how do you find your life?
Only four weeks or so are left before this year 2015 ends. Hope you have lived the best year you have ever had!
Not so? No problem.
This year can become an unforgettable year if you do the following in the coming few weeks.
1. TAKE CHARGE
Commit yourself to the notion that YOU are in charge of your life, your happiness, your destiny.
2. TAKE STOCK
Review the past months. Jot down whoever comes to your mind you should thank for what you have learnt, seen or experienced. For instance, give thanks to the ex-boss who fired you for providing you the opportunity to test your EQ, to know the strength that you have, or to build closer relationship with your family.
Another example. Thank your domestic maid for handling the household chores so that you can have more quality time with your kids.
Other examples may include thanking your grumbling colleague to train your patience, thanking your parents for bringing you up, thanking your friends sharing with you candies, thanking the Islamic State to wake you up that Hong Kong is a safe heaven, and even thanking CY Leung for teaching you the importance of freedom of speech.
The list is endless. The point is while we may not re-write history, we can over-write the effects of the events on us, our conscious and sub-conscious mind.
3. TAKE ACTION
Act. Take steps to achieve your "nearly forgotten or abandoned goals".
Besides, take action to plan for next year, formulating "SMART" goals.
After doing these three "TAKEs", you should feel better. If my suggestion works, give a "TICK" to yourself and (hehe) a "LIKE" to me.
If it doesn't, you will still learn something more about yourself. The experience, the process worth the time and effort you spent.
