How to Look Younger: Making Funny Faces Shown to Eliminate Wrinkles and Droopy Skin

There’s no way to turn back the hands of time, but you may be able to erase a few years of age with some simple exercises. New research found that certain facial exercises are able to tone the face and dramatically reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging.

For the study, published online in JAMA Dermatology, researchers had 27 women, all between the ages of 40 and 65, complete a regimen of facial exercises. The exercises were specifically developed to help build up facial muscles, with the aim of making them larger and therefore giving them a stronger resistance against sagging skin and wrinkles. Results revealed the exercises made the women appear up to three years younger than their actual age, The New York Times reported.

The women were asked to perform 32 facial exercises for half an hour a day for 20 weeks every other day. Researchers took photographs of the women through the stu cellular router dy and compared the more recent photos with those taken at the beginning of the exercise regimen. Results were seen in both the volunteers and the researchers in charge of the study.
