          Every Chinese New Year I invite feng shui expert Michael Chiang Hong-man, who is also an architect, to come to my TVB English show to predict if it will be a good or bad year. The coming Chinese New Year, which starts on February 5, will be the Year of the Pig. Unfortunately, Chiang Hong-man told me it will not be a good year because there will be a Jupiter and Saturn conjunction in 2020. This happens every 20 years and will bring bad luck. The bad luck usually starts one or two years before the Jupiter and Saturn conjunction. The word “conjunction” used this way means two planets appearing to be in the same, or nearly in the same place in the sky.

          The previous Jupiter and Saturn conjunction was in the year 2000. It brought several years of bad luck before and after the conjunction. Among the worst was the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington DC which killed thousands of people. A year later, in 2002, a killer disease called SARS affected many countries and cities, including China and Hong Kong. A killer disease is a disease that kills people. SARS killed hundreds of people. No one can predict what kind of bad luck the Year of the Pig will bring, or if the world will have even worse luck in 2020, the Year of the Rat, when the conjunction happens.

          Chiang Hong-man told me there are lucky and unlucky positions in the home in the Year of the Pig. The two unluckiest positions are northeast and southwest. You should not move any furniture in the northeast part of your home and should not hammer anything in the southwest part. Of course, these are things you should do only if you believe in feng shui. And whether the Saturn and Jupiter conjunction will bring bad luck depends on whether you believe in such things. If you want to know in full what Chiang Hong-man told me, you are welcome to watch my show on February 5, the first day of the Lunar New Year. Happy Year of the Pig to all of you.

        * * * *

          上一次的木星與土星相合(conjunction)在二○○○年,帶來了相合(conjunction)之前與之後數年的厄運。最惡劣的是二○○一年九月十一日紐約和華盛頓的恐怖襲擊,殺害了數以千計的人。一年後,即二○○二年,致命疾病(killer disease)沙士影響多個國家與城市,包括中國及香港。A killer disease就是致命的疾病。沙士殺掉了數以百計的人。豬年到底會帶來怎樣的壞運氣,又或者世界會否在二○二○年鼠年二星相合(conjunction)發生之時有更差的運氣,亦無人可以預計得到。

Dear Michael,

Don't define anything which westerners do not do as peculiar. There are many reasons why they don't choose fruits by toching them or smelling them. Say, they may have low demands on quality of such items (look, they are easily satisfied by eating a ham sandwich as lunch) or they don't even know how to distinguish bad from good by touching and smelling the fruits. If you know what QC is in a factory, you will understand why people need to touch and smell. If you don't, I am speechless to converse with you.

Are you trying to say that consumers have no right to do QC like picking a better quality food item? Are you saying that doing this is classified as peculiar? Are you saying that all items are the same in supermarkets? Then can you explain to me why A's new iPhone X malfunctions after two days but B's iPhone X still works perfectly adter two years?

The problem with us is that, we see religious and devout people as a being who can't make mistakes. God has not created humans being to not make mistakes, for that their are angels but we jump to conculsions very quickly as soons as we see a preacher or a scholar comminting a sin. Even in my own https://www.prodissertationhelp.co.uk/ office, there was a guy who was jewish and had the apperance according to their religious scholars and the day he was caught doing an immodest act with a female colleauge, he was ridiculed beyond comparrision.
