2008 Marks & Spencer Paradiso Carmenere

2008 Marks & Spencer Paradiso Carménère Colchagua Valley, Chile （Mark & Spencer $98）

以前沒想過在M&S買葡萄酒，但在推廣的Counter試飲後，覺得這支酒是值得買回家認認真真地品嘗。釀酒的葡萄是十九世紀在法國受到嚴重的蟲害而絕跡品種Carménère，目前只有智利仍有種植這古老稀有的葡萄品種，一般都認為這種葡萄為Merlot的原生品種，但比Merlot晚熟而更能往細膩酒風發展。

它是M&S的Paradiso trilogy「天堂三部曲」的一分子，另外兩支是Sauvignon Blanc和Shiraz。

這支由Luis Felipe Edwards酒莊釀製的Carménère顏色深紅、單寧較Cabernet Sauvignon柔順些。由於是「unoaked」的原故，水果味異常濃鬱、還有種獨特誘人的芳香，感覺清新。

Tasting Note: ”A smooth, rich and slightly spicy Chilean red with a soft supporting structure. It has tempting flavours of plum and mocha with a hint of herbal flavours.“

"Serve at room temperature. It is fruity enough to enjoy on it’s own, but has the depth and structure to accompany roast beef, and rich casseroles. It can even partner a lamb curry!"
