上周末，澳洲布里斯本市長庫爾文旋風訪港廿四小時，剛巧我在其家鄉，陰差陽錯，跟他在沙田馬場緣慳一面。
我由墨爾本轉往悉尼，昨天抵達黃金海岸洽商，想也想不到庫爾文的辦公室人員聯絡上我，說今天晚上他有空。佐黃金海岸距離布里斯本有九十公里，其秘書說也不要緊，庫爾文會駕車南下與我會面，時間就在今晚，都算畀面。
庫爾克是位業餘育馬者，他擁有的雌馬與「孫子奇兵」同母，是Zabeel的女兒，在配種上幾乎是百搭，最合宜跟Danehill Line的種馬交配。今晚，我深信我跟庫爾文在配種方面會有大把話題了。
很開心在賽馬事業中有這麼多好朋友，無論是達官貴人、商賈抑或政客，大家都享受賽馬的過程。香港不少馬主朋友都是玩玩下，博彩時喜歡買冧巴或捉路，這都不是問題，但我的朋友當中，不少對賽馬都有較深層次的認識，也是真正投入之輩，而與我談得投契的，大家傾馬傾足一個下午都未為多！
