開鑼日馬會交出的成績表，一如上周深圳世界盃外圍賽中港大戰，是個出乎意料的戰果。
股市大崩盤，人民幣和澳幣大跌，出馬亦不足，投注額居然仍有接近百分之一的上升。估計是少了國內注碼，卻多了本地港人的支持。而入場人數雖比去年略少，但也已是二十年來次高。送日曆固然有吸引力，但也要馬迷朋友在卅三度高溫下有動力入場方為奏效，而始終餓馬兩個月，馬迷的熱情是顯而易見的，而在場內和我打招呼的，也委實不少。
不過未來週日十場賽事，七場出馬不足，部份更是十匹以下，估計不能與開鑼日相提並論了。但大家可以放心的是馬會管理層目前的創意和專業知識，不斷向不同領域拓展客源，而馬場內設施，也是推陳出新，總之現時入馬場，點只賭馬咁簡單？
