二○一一年夏季多花了時間在英愛，結果揀到「好好計」，價錢還比不少四五班馬便宜。
而在二○一一年尾，去了不少牧場預先檢視該季可供拍賣的周歲馬，再在周歲拍賣會前與獸醫詳細再多看一次，加上一早計劃，又有充足的預算，結果在二○一二年初的紐西蘭加拉卡拍賣會中，購入了「高山遠景」和「浪濤洶湧」兩駒，分別是二十萬及廿九萬紐元，折合港幣每匹都只是百多萬而已。而在悉尼復活節周歲拍賣會，也購入了馬后「勝威旺」的女兒「星威旺」，價錢只是對上一胎雌馬的三分之一。
一心固然可以多用，但因不能專注，即使依然做得好，卻未必能發揮得淋漓盡致。
今個賽季計到上周末為止，自己培育或購入的馬，原來已在國際間（包括香港）八度挑戰一級大賽。雖然只得兩個亞軍，但以有限的預算而能參與多項大賽並交出成績，已算是對自己及友儕有所交代。
