在大量九十後新生代成為選民要主宰自己前途，再加上馬英九執政過分主打經濟及親中牌，台灣九合一選舉令國民黨遇到空前大敗，六市由四比二的優勢變為一比五的劣勢不特止，台北及台中分別輸廿五萬票及廿一萬票，與上屆贏十六萬多及三萬多，完全反盤。
柯文哲在當選台北市長後，明言「造就台北，改變成真的力量來自庶民、鄉民和公民。」這完全與過往行政為主導，政治世家或精英為領導的國民黨思維完全不同，也難怪新生代或面對與香港同樣問題的中產甚至基層人仕咁受落，連勝文雖然年青，也是國民黨明白要打後生主意的人物，但是連家富貴，也當權多時，新生代就是對權力不滿，憎人富貴，就算小連學貫中西，捱過中槍，也沉實穩重，換轉在八年前已經可接馬英九班，卻偏偏時機不對，大敗而回。
未來兩年國民黨是無力重振聲威的，一六年總統大選根本是民進黨蔡英文天下，因為民心背向權力，小英只要未來兩年穩紮穩打不犯錯，就可一如南韓朴槿惠般無夫無父無子全無包袱地榮登大寶。
