主席賽日總算場場有盃捧，過往安排特別的地方是有傳統的桑達士錦標不安排，而將低班賽事命名主席賽馬日平磅或讓磅賽，如今施文信退休，有九個主席命名的盃賽安排，再加皇太后盃，剛好十個盃。
不明白不安排桑達士錦標的原因。事實上六十年代尾七十年代初的主席桑達士，是香港賽馬職業化的第一功臣。如果不是這位匯豐大班的高瞻遠矚，知道唯一令香港減少舞弊及向前邁進的方法是引進專業管理，繼而聘請退休英軍東南亞軍區司令官彭福少將擔任總經理，而由彭福少將一手建立沙田馬場以及聘請世界頂級騎練來港，香港又豈會進步神速，在短短十年來奠定職業化的基石。無桑達士就無彭福，也未必有現在的好景。
但其實九位主席都各有豐功偉績，建樹良多！每人在其任內都竭盡綿力，搞好香港賽馬事業。其實忽萌奇想，如果將主席錦標或主席獎安排在此日進行，又或將這些盃賽安排在主席錦標或主席獎賽日，豈不是兩全其美？
