香港退役馬「霸王神駒」轉戰澳洲後，四月先在費明頓贏千六米，上周末更贏出玫瑰崗表列賽市長盃。其實此駒在港時雖然表現未如人意，只能在三班取得一捷，但來港前曾在阿聯酋打吡入Q，所以才高價售港。
從這個例子可見，香港馬主朋友固然肯花錢，且不少人都能買到好馬，但肯定的告訴各位，每匹馬適應水土所需的時間不一，有部分更完全不能適應香港的訓練環境或場地。要知道馬兒在港的居住環境與外國大為不同，即使馬匹本性溫馴，但能否適應沙田馬房也是未知數，更遑論還要習慣香港的空氣質素，以及訓練和競賽場地的乾硬程度等等，所以部分佳駟來港後，因未能融入新環境而無法交出應有的競爭力，也是無可奈何。
再說，單是左右轉的分別，有時已考起部分馬匹。正如前希斯馬「旺財之星」在阿根廷是一級賽盟主，特擅左轉，但來港後跑右轉，十戰都無法勝出。其後希斯將牠帶回澳洲墨爾本跑左轉，結果可重獲新生，贏表列賽之餘，更在二級賽上名及在一級賽跑第四。
跑馬是一大學問，不是一知半解的門外漢睇得那麼簡單。

To express anything at all one must work untill one can say what one means in its entirety otherwise one will express a peer groups distrust and desire to avoid the issue. The bottom line is to study practical, basic, fundemental, primary, ground level technicalities of domestic level to know for sure one is known for sure and this aspect goes far and beyond the experience of the
