歐陽耀沖在葡甲煞科戰中上陣，是繼張子岱五十多年前在英格蘭黑池上陣後，再度登陸歐洲的華籍港將。
當然在上世紀六十年代香港球王張子岱效力的是當時英格蘭甲組(最高組別)的黑池，既曾正選上陣，又有入球，歐沖效力的葡體會是葡萄牙第二組別聯賽，後備上陣之餘，該球隊也在來季降入葡乙。但歐沖今次的努力，其實闖關難度比張子岱時為高。
闖葡國求工作証也搞了幾個月，而且現時歐盟球員可自由出入歐洲國土，流動性高，令球壇競爭更大。六七十年代歐洲正行保護主義，而香港是當時英國殖民地，有直屬關係，就算是荷蘭或德國猛將，去英踢波的難度比香港球員可能還高。所以不少荷蘭國腳如南寧加、穆倫、狄莊等，離開國家隊不久要轉戰香江，一來人工不俗，二來是簽証問題根本無法在歐洲別國上陣，又無法留在競爭激烈的葡甲。
歐沖還年輕，把握這個歐洲發展的機會，練好球技和體力，再回到亞洲，不敢說可否做中田英壽，但帶給香港球壇一些新動力是必然的。
