上季四月時「中華英雄」在三班跑草地，末段潰不成軍大敗二十馬位，賽報驗出流鼻血。我們立即讓牠到雙魚河休息，休足五個月才再上陣，雖然初出因碰上天雨濕泥地，此駒再輸一仗，但再出谷草千二，負重磅也捱到最後一步才失Q。
不過剛戰排一檔兼當時場地不算太慢，牠起步也順利，但轉彎入直路居然潰不成軍，一過終點我立即致電練馬師，獸醫一照之下發現氣管大量有血，是舊病復發的先兆，所以我立即與團體成員商量，決定立即退役。
就算今次不算流鼻血，但從病癥來說，就算再休息，再度復發機會不低，又何必再逼一匹忠心耿耿的馬再上征途？雖然目前流鼻血條例已放鬆，但我等始終是老一輩馬主，以馬為大前題，不願見到他們陣上有意外。
這件綵衣都算有點運，「英雄本色」及「中華英雄」分別是四捷及三捷；這個團體的新馬在十月中會到港，到時又有一番新景象。
