今年英國日蝕大賽將是廿一世紀最精采的一日，南半球長途馬王「信可成真」迎戰北半球中長途馬王「勞動力」，前者是雙料覺士盾盟主，後者挾葉森打吡及凱旋門冠軍之名，還加上雙料橡樹大賽及香港盃盟主「飛雪仙蹤」，單是這三匹馬已夠叫座力。
昨晚看過彼邦馬報的網上投票，發覺民意是傾向主隊的「勞動力」，雖然彼邦合法外圍依然認定「信可成真」是兩倍不足的大熱門。似乎英國民眾始終對「信可成真」的實力存疑，不過若仔細比較過兩駒，「信可成真」上仗出頭過早兼狀態不足，仍只負「環保駿駒」些微，今次已是季內第四次上陣，備戰始終較缺席加冕盃兼今季初出的「勞動力」完整。「飛雪仙蹤」則連番受場地影響而避戰，而且亦從未碰過如此強橫的勁敵，相信位望已足。
如要作出比較，今年日蝕大賽的觀賽價值遠比愛爾蘭打比或二千堅尼為高。不過直播賽事要一早安排和決定，見到陣容強而臨時轉軚，有點難度。
