今晚女皇盃埠際宴別開生面地安排在啟德郵輪碼頭舉行。自己未曾從該處坐過郵輪出發，今晚相信可開開眼界。
馬會搞埠際宴其實也頗費心思，早幾年國際賽曾在赤柱美利樓，由不同餐廳供應各國美食。又試過在廣東道一八八一，場地較細卻有氣氛。也曾在酒店如洲際，今屆國際賽則在會展搞歡迎晚宴。
女皇盃的規模自然較國際賽細，但一樣隆重。埠際宴曾在海港城的酒店搞了幾年，也試過在谷中舉行，亦試過在數碼港。今次郵輪碼頭的特色是不少人從未到過，這也是令外賓覺得吸引力的地方。世界上哪曾試過一個地方由機場改建成郵輪碼頭呢？這正是香港這個獨特的環境才會有見。
女皇盃只得十匹參戰馬，其中六匹是主隊，外賓來自南非與日本，但兩地都有極強的傳媒陣容來採訪，而且兩地陣營都說有信心跑贏主隊。個人則覺得主隊今次陣容強勁，外隊馬一定要交出超水準，方能有力作客取勝。
