泥地賽過往報名馬不少，今晚卻碰上冷場。上周四報名時八場馬只得兩場草地賽事滿額，其餘泥地六場全部不夠馬，報名要重開。當然季初谷草封場，不少谷草馬都不打算在九月上陣，寧蓄銳等十月中，也有不少新馬上季六七月間才抵港，備戰不充足。最要命的是前周五全部滿額的泥閘因天雨取消，部分馬匹要等到上周四才試閘，又怎趕得及在六天後的今日上陣呢？這個「完美風暴」的處境，就影響了出賽馬匹數目，估計也會直接影響了今晚的投注額。
我當然相信踏入季中過後這個現象會消失，我更加相信一如過往幾十年，季初幾天賽馬只是馬迷小試牛刀，踏入季中或以後的平均投注額必比季初為佳。一次半次馬少場合，是正常現象，而因為馬口增加，谷草也從六月初起封場到十月中，累積了不少谷草翹楚在重開後礪兵秣馬，一如水壩洩洪，所以我相信由開鑼到十月中的投注額，不必與上季比較，反而將九月到十二月尾整個上半季的與上季同期去比較，還有意義。

To express anything at all one must work untill one can say what one means in its entirety otherwise one will express a peer groups distrust and desire to avoid the issue. The bottom line is to study practical, basic, fundemental, primary, ground level technicalities of domestic level to know for sure one is known for sure and this aspect goes far and beyond the experience of the
