| 近年流行工作假期，到外國邊打工，邊放假，澳洲可說是工作假期首選地方，吸引不少年輕人。除了工作假期，到澳洲升學亦大受歡迎，當地有不少著名大學，例如墨爾本大學、雪梨大學、昆士蘭大學等，還有臥龍崗大學（UniversityofWollongong）。 最近，城市大學專上學院（城專）計劃與澳洲臥龍崗大學結成策略性聯盟。香港人對臥龍崗大學可能覺得陌生，其實該校在當地頗具名氣，在澳洲排名第十一，並連續八年獲僱主評分為全球大學排名首一百位。該校在學術上多年來均獲國際認同，亦一直有跟全球大型機構合作培訓人才，當中包括替港鐵設計及提供碩士課程，培訓工程師，其醫學院亦在國際上有領先地位。 除了開辦不同學科，臥龍崗大學講求創新，在校園發展投放不少資源，新校園創新校區的innovationcampus，花了六億澳元、相等於四十二億港元打造，經費能媲美港大的百周年校園。創新校園十足十香港的科學園般，園內興建了八幢科研中心，其中一幢科研中心重點研究再生能源及環保概念建築。 兩校結成策略性聯盟的諮詢期間，城專師生曾到訪該校，他們對整所學校的目標、理念都非常滿意。城專計劃跟臥龍崗大學結成策略性聯盟，都是經過千挑萬選，加上該校在新加坡和杜拜設有分校，具相關的海外院校合作經驗。 若城專與臥龍崗大學結成策略性聯盟，肯定能揭開高等教育界的新一頁。香港入大學率只有百分之十八，近年副學士、私立大學學位需求上升，兩校結盟不但能優化資源運用，亦能為學生提供多元化的課程，增加海外交流，實在是師生一大喜訊。 靳清松 |

One of the many advantages of this course is an industry-based research project is undertaken in second and third year with major financial organizations in Australia. This is excellent for students' future career development.
