昨晚馬會公布國際賽參戰名單。雖然賽事要到十二月十四日才上演，但對我來說，戰幔在下周便會揭開，因為大批來自四方八面的外賓，下周一便開始陸續到港。
不少世界頂級練馬師或馬圈中人，就算無馬參戰，也會趁?這個世界馬壇盛事，來港接洽商機或與圈中好友?舊。
為何提前在下周一來？因為大家都知道國際賽周人人忙碌，馬會也有頗多官方活動，有份參與者未必能抽空會面。提早一周來，就有充裕的時間去洽商了。
而相信去到十二月七日，就算是一個普通的賽馬日，縱使未獲馬會邀請，不少外賓也會與他們的馬主朋友一起入場。各位可能有所不知，雖然香港曾有旅行社舉辦打氣團去外國，但外國也有旅行社每年搞一次香港國際賽之旅，報名也十分踴躍。他們目的不是為自己國家打氣，反而是來欣賞大賽，享受美食及旅遊。收費是豪華團的價錢，但常常爆滿。已故昆士蘭首席評述員韋以信曾多次擔任這個團的導遊，不過韋以信已逝世，未知今年導遊為何人？
