答應了參加一個向前輩致敬的演唱會，在慈善環節獻醜。
其實周一時大家都知我不在港，去了深圳主持慈善拍賣，為健康快車基金籌款。健康快車主席是范太，主要是營運幾架列車，穿梭國內各省市，免費替貧苦大眾治療白內障。基金在一九九七年由方黃吉雯女士創辦，至今已十七年，有多位馬主好友都是現任委員及總理，推動這個有意義的活動。如以每年能救助一萬名貧困白內障患者，至今受惠人士已超過十七萬了。
四年前放下全職講馬工作，有部分朋友不明白，但四年來所擔任的公職和參加的慈善項目，滿足感是遠比講一場馬，甚至中一場大冷為高。
如果一切也只集中眼前利益，只爭朝夕，不單只人會疲累易出錯，而且永遠也做不了大事。
企得高，才看得遠，這是香港人尤其是年輕一輩最要懂得的！
