羊年其實市面有不少英文賀年語句，有人用綿羊的Sheep，有些人用山羊的Goat，但其實正確官方譯法，大家可參考英殖民地時的文獻，是用Ram。
而一九六七年政府發行的官方郵票，也是用Year of the Ram為名。
羊年是祥和，但不是羊群心理的附和。
