當澳元貶值，以美元交易的國家的購買力會增強，所以中東卡塔爾及阿聯酋會睇中就買之餘，連南非估計也會積極入市。
這個拍賣會不是新加坡及澳門的主打，價錢對彼邦買家來說可能略高，但以香港來說，固然有大摩有肯駛錢的客戶，買幾匹幾十萬澳元的可領風騷，而「步步友」正是這個拍賣會出產，贏夠資格才運港，而香港馬會亦會在此揀蟀，兩個陣營已將香港排在全球買家前列。
大馬資金而英文名以中國號召的團體，過往兩年有大力入市，也有拍住澳洲大牧場合夥部份馬匹。今年會否再有資金挑戰群雄，有待分曉。
其實誰買了甚麼馬不重要。對自己來說，自一九九三年開始連續廿三年參加這個悉尼復活節拍賣會，已是大開眼界。見証不少投資者成功和失敗，幾年間人事已幾番新，真有點唏噓。
