香港贏一級大賽時，拉頭馬是在草地，然後步往草地臨時搭建的頒獎台。這是香港特色。
在英愛澳紐若你贏一級大賽，馬主及練馬師就可由賽道牽引愛駒，走過接受群眾歡呼的通道，直入凱旋門。過磅室是在凱旋門落鞍處，然後一起接受獎盃。
香港馬主傳統上是幸運的，因為在外國若只贏普通賽事，根本無機會「拉」頭馬。騎師將馬騎到贏馬落鞍冠軍格，就算要影頭馬相，也只是之後的事，而並不是「拉」着。拉馬入凱旋門，在外國只是一級賽盟主的權利，而且只限於馬主(或指定代表)及練馬師。
而騎師方面，過往英國的傳統是贏一級大賽就除帽，當年摩加利在香港策騎時，贏大賽就跟足這個傳統，但現在就較為罕見了。
過往贏大賽騎、練及馬主都有勝利演說，現在就減少許多，起碼在澳洲冠軍系列，一級大賽也無勝利演說。但費明頓嘉年華贏二三級賽則仍保持傳統，始終贏馬，講多幾句多謝或抒發情感是有必要的。
