周日又是一年一度的女皇盃。還記得第一次英女皇訪港是一九七五年，當時讀小學的我有份代表學校在大會堂搖旗歡迎女皇駕臨。女皇當時是坐遊艇慕蓮夫人號抵達港島，在當時的皇后碼頭上岸，沿皇家紅地毯步入大會堂。
該年英女皇駕臨谷中夜馬，馬會首屆舉辦女皇盃，是一場二班沙地一五七五米，由八駒出爭，當日頂頭大熱門是由英國練馬師莊布朗訓練、由英籍騎師嘉華達策騎的英國馬「中游之光」，馬主是老牌華人團體中游會，倘能取勝自然是一時佳話。可惜「中游之光」佔先了大半條直路後力弱，被聯合國組合︰本地華人練馬師張學文訓練、馬來西亞騎師詹亞健策騎，並由印度馬主鮑馬擁有的澳洲馬「利是吉」，在終點前超越。
這兩件綵衣如今仍在沙田及谷中飄揚，「利是吉」綵衣由鮑馬兒子鮑文承繼，仍以「利是」作為系列馬名，而中游會亦繼續養馬四十年，上一匹是「中游百載」，且看這兩件綵衣何時再狹路相逢。
