人幣新機制舖路入SDR

        中國人民銀行突然推行人民幣匯率中間價新機制，令人民幣單日出現近2%調整，但此舉代表中央推動匯率進一步走向市場化。

        市場認為人民幣貶值是為了挽救中國持續疲弱的出口，然而，要有效刺激出口增長，恐怕人民幣需要下調10%或以上，但可能引發資本外流，後果比出口下滑更嚴重。而且，中國現時積極推動經濟轉型，集中推動內需及減少對出口的依賴，因此刺激出口已不是中央政策主軸，人幣並沒有大幅貶值的需要。

        中央推動匯率市場化的背後主因為推動人民幣國際化，今年中國積極爭取人民幣納入SDR貨幣籃子，藉此提高人民幣的國際地位。

        增強匯率靈活性

        由於IMF作出評估時需考慮人民幣匯率彈性的情況，故人行完善中間價報價，令人民幣匯率靈活性增強，加大了人民幣加入SDR的機會，因此，相信人民幣進一步大跌的可能性不大。而且人行亦公開表示人民幣不存在持續貶值的基礎，但由於人民幣匯率的波動性及不確定性增加，投資人民幣定存的吸引力已不如從前。
