歐伯仁享高壽而善終，這位世界馬壇殿堂級練馬師已退休十年有多，近年也多在澳洲柏斯過冬，但在英愛一講歐伯仁的名字，幾乎成位世界馬壇首號風雲人物。
最難得的地方，是他集相馬與練馬功力於一身，也是世界上幾乎最叻的一人。不諱言練馬和相馬是完全兩門學問，世界上頗多頂級練馬師是懂練不懂相的。歐伯仁先後練跳欄賽起家，三奪全英障礙大賽後再攻平地，結果英國五大古典賽，愛爾蘭五大古典賽，史無前例地全部贏過，而「尼真斯基」、Alleged、Royal Academy、「吟遊詩人」、El Gran Senor等世界馬王的名字，相信不需我介紹了。
四月尾他的媳婦來港，特別送了一本歐伯仁簽名版自傳給我，我只讀了四分三左右，這個周末一定要看完，好讓我真正瞭解這位一代宗師在賽馬背後的逸事。
