Mourinho's Inter vs ex-Mourinho's Chelsea
1st leg is 2-1 to Inter and Chelsea grabbed one away goal.
Mourinho , ex ex ex ex chelsea manager , will lead Inter Milan tonight to defend their one goal advantage at Stamford Bridge and the most tricky thing is Chelsea which will be eliminated even they win 3-2 tonight . While their no. 1 and 2 goalkeeper are injuried, u never know what will happen when their no.3 keeper Ross Turnbull in goal !!
Inter Milan lost their last league game on last friday while Chelsea smashed West Ham on last saturday so on the paper it's still Chelsea who is the favorite to win this match.. but what will be the scoreline ?
We didn't know that Arsenal would win at Stoke.
And we didn't know that George Boateng would be sent off at Hull.
Football is quite unpredictable.
That Stoke performance on February 27th told us something new.
Sol Campbell's actions spoke louder than the words "Let's scrap, let's stand up to them!"
Arsenal's next games are West Ham, Birmingham and Wolves. After that it's Spurs at White Hart Lane, Wigan away, and Man City at the Emirates. The last away game is Blackburn.
And the last game of the season is Fulham.
On each occasion, it depends which West Ham turns up, which Birmingham turns up, which Wolves.
It depends on how teams approach Arsenal. It depends, in essence, on whether Zola, McLeish and Mick McCarthy have a go. Whether they decide to attack Arsenal or decide to be survivalists who expect to lose and sit back in damage limitation mode, allowing Arsenal to have the ball and establish their passing rhythm. Every time an opponent does that, Arsenal win.
When the score was Hull 1 Arsenal 1, Hull sat back further and further until they were defending the six-yard area. So they lost. Hull's ten men were so deep that they gave Denilson a completely free hit from 30 yards. That strike was straight down Myhill's throat but he parried it to Bendtner, who scored the winning goal.
It will be exciting if it's all on the last game because Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is a canny, bold tactician, a very nice guy, and one of the few PL coaches who is NOT a survivalist.
Paul Merson says that when Arsenal don't have the ball, they're bad. I agree with Merse and have said as much for years.
But now is a big moment in Arsenal's season. Eight to play, Fabregas to come back, Sol Campbell using his power and experience to boost a defence that concedes only one goal and sometimes no goal.
NICKLAS BENDTNER is now said to be a hot property because he's scoring goals.
But two weeks don't make a striker.
Bendtner has started 9 Premier League games and made 8 sub appearances and scored 4 goals. He's also scored 4 goals in the Champions League.
His goal total so far this season is 9.
Tonight at 7.45, I fancy Inter to eliminate Chelsea.
But we shall see.
I would never bet against Drogba. Lucio & Samuel smothered him last time but tonight might be different.
Mourinho has promised not to celebrate extravagantly if Inter score.
