大家唔好將杜拜當整個中東辦，杜拜只是阿聯酋其中一城市，中東很大，阿聯酋只是其中一個小國。而沙地阿拉伯、卡塔爾、巴林等地方，都全無受中東金融風暴影響，甚至連阿聯酋的首都阿布扎比，更主動向杜拜伸出援手。
世界盃直播前後的廣告時段，都是超級黃金時段，價錢貴得驚人，但大家估不估這時段是有甚麼廣告？當中有：卡塔爾航空；巴林的「商務友伴」廣告，向世界展示巴林投資機會；而播放時間最長的，是阿布扎比旅遊局告訴大家阿布扎比好好玩！(另外的廣告就是世界盃夥伴南韓現代集團)。
英國本地公司在事事縮皮之下，根本不會花錢在世界盃時段廣告，在英的美國公司亦無乜錢，銀行更被事事監管，能知道世界盃的效力，又有錢賣廣告的，不離中東及亞洲。
中東廣告是獨缺杜拜(阿聯酋航空都無賣廣告)，一來是他們現時唔敢亂駛錢，二來幾位酋長都在皇家雅士谷跑馬，贊助費都寧放在賽馬身上，難怪今年雅士谷請哈雅公主頒獎，模罕默酋長及咸頓酋長又不斷捧盃，賽馬電視鏡頭又不停播住他們！
