本周日谷草重開，上周五亦已試閘，一切正常之餘，估計未來周中的谷草賽事會繼續熱鬧，也會追回不少九十月份沙田夜賽略為失色的投注額。
其實季初多日沙田賽事不夠馬，或多或少是部分谷草馬的廄主靜候跑馬地重開，打磨充足才上陣，當然也有練馬師先在沙田熱身一兩仗，減多少分才上征途。
去美國前曾去過滿貫廳午膳，老實說，當時跑道已綠草如茵，看台設施亦已完善。馬會也算有運氣，佔中佔銅居然恰巧谷草封場，到十月十九日相信佔中已落幕，交通秩序回復正常，又再歌舞昇平。
十月十九日谷草日賽大部分已滿額，廿二日的夜賽八場也應有七場滿額甚至全滿。
不少朋友說，到谷中跑馬其實不單只是方便，而是情懷。這是香港賽馬發源地，場內氣氛緊湊，入直路群駒衝刺，蔚為奇觀。
