外國愈來愈多地方喜歡連跑兩日馬，育馬者盃各類型賽事多，又長又短，又雄又雌，又泥又草，當然要分周五周六兩天。上周末的滿利谷賽事，由萬利加多錦標這場一級短途大賽在周五揭開戰幔，然後周六覺士盾跑九場主要賽事。
試想想如果香港國際賽，國際騎師邀請賽安排在周六晚上跑谷草，然後周日跑國際賽四場一級錦標，世界最頂級騎師及馬匹全部雲集，是多麼精采的一件事。
以前香港也曾經試過打疊跑，不過是連跑兩天日馬，當時的傳妹群起反對，理由其實不太合邏輯。如今馬會是強勢領導，正是推行打疊跑測試現在市場的承受力最佳機會。
我當然不是說今季搞，反正賽期已早定好，不能更改，但來季可試復活節跑周六及周一，又或試谷草夜馬加田草日馬。以港人及外國博彩集團對賽事的支持，我相信隔一天，兩天或三天跑一次馬根本不是問題。
