十三小時的機程已帶我來到洛杉磯，今天會先在聖雅尼塔看育馬者盃第一天賽事，雌馬、泥地一哩等等，當然也有不少頂級佳駟列陣，包括上仗以一鼻位僅負於「好好計」的「金錢幣」。
明天才是育馬者盃的戲肉，兩歲賽、一哩賽、短途賽、草地賽以及經典賽，簡直目不暇給。固然五年前我早已在聖雅尼塔直播育馬者盃賽事，但當時是工作，刨馬佔去大部分時間，根本無欣賞賽事的心情。所以「水到渠成」及「信雅達」等名駒，我只在沙圈及現場評述時浮光掠影看過，卻不能抱著欣賞的角度。
今次就真係可以睇真啲，不是單看「好好計」出戰育馬者盃短途賽，而是場場大賽也可以睇真啲
當然十月初來聖雅尼塔時已有靚位睇馬，但今天是育馬者盃，氣氛自然不同。幾萬人入場，就算要排隊及擠逼，這又如何？其實這才是一種享受，因為睇良駒佳駟，如果只是冷清清得幾個人，根本不過癮。
