今日是國際賽周最忙碌的一天，早上與愛爾蘭賽馬推廣負責人早餐會，然後見紐西蘭友人，接着中午是澳洲卡賓會大賽前的傳統午宴，午宴後則與澳洲馬會高層會面。見完後立即回家換衫出席國際賽晚宴。
不要以為這就是應酬的完結，明早是與劍橋牧場經理研究一月尾加拉卡拍賣會，接着中午則是澳洲牧場商議一月初神奇百萬拍賣會自己培育馬匹的出售底價。晚膳是與昆士蘭布里斯本馬會主席伉儷一起。
刨馬？一早在未排位前已做，也不可能像當年閒雲野鶴般花幾小時去刨，但多年來浸出來的功力，自問對國際馬匹的了解比一般人為深，相信在外賓前也不會失威。
節目其實是維持到國際賽後︰外賓大部份週一才離開，跑完國際賽仍要着疲乏身軀向他們餞行。
但這一切都是愉快的忙碌，我去外國他們一樣這般招呼我，這比贏一場頭馬或中一場冷ＱＴ更有意思。
