However, it brought out an interesting identification about the majority of people fall into four categories. (1)Those with ability, will stay and serve the company. (2)Those with ability, will leave soon. (3)Those without ability, will leave soon. (4)Those without ability, will stay and serve the company. If you read carefully, you will notice they are in the order of favourable to the company. Our CEO said, category (2) and (4) forming the majority of our human capital. When I look at the department I am working for, I see the majority are category (4). The rest are category (2). I think I am between category (1) and (2). Let's put aside why category (3) and (4) will enter the compay. My question is how the company see or would like to treat each of these people? Li ka sing picked the easiest one, the category (1). If you are the driving wheel of the company, how do you see the value of category (2), (3) and (4)?
