今早開電視又看見Westham vs Arsenal的賽事重播，一向阿仙奴的賽事我都會看兩次或以上，但今次真的沒心情重看。一如Palmer說，我都覺得悶了累了。

同意Torres是很出色的球員，球品亦很好，不還拖，不滾地博12碼，是位難得的好球員，還非常靚仔添！看到他跟謝拉特認識英雄重行雄，合作無間，互相輝映，有時都有點感動。利物浦向來只靠謝拉特，05歐聯，如非對Olympiacos在最後時刻慿謝拉特射入取回一球得失球差，馬上就出局了，那來後來的歐聯之路。現在謝拉特有Torres拍檔，上屆聯賽是大有機會，最後落敗亦只能怪自己對弱旅失分太多以致失諸交臂。

現就去登山，一舒悶氣。

Your comments are fair, but I still think it is not difficult to beat West Ham. We just need that extra bit of effort which we did not give and were punished in the end.

Too bad Cesc's strike just missed by inches otherwise it would have secured the win.

I don't trust Fabianski. I believe Alumnia has a crisis recently -- a lack of confidence in collecting high balls, just like Cazillas has a crisis recently.  Everyone has bad patches and Alumnia has to get out of it soon.

Mannone's touch on that dead ball was suicidal, but he is a young guy.

I just feel so angry.

hi, persie , it's not the first time that they can't defend the lead but at least the penalty should be given earlier when Gallas fouled Parker so it's not too unfair result while it's Green's error which caused Van Persie tagged in 1st goal..and Mannone just paid back , although it's his two successive "own" goal in two EPL matches.

If Almunia performed better in earlier matches ,then he should have played already but now it seems we like to wait for Fabianski to come back  !!! maybe coming wednesday..

what a shame to miss the chance to go closer to Chelsea especailly Man United and Man City both losing points..

Verheyan - yes I watched him and it's time when Seiko imported all Dutch players while 金在漢 was much earlier ..I knew they used korean goalkeeper at that time while South China won the league in a whole season undefeated..

OK I now understand what “era” you’re in. You won’t know大水牛華德. You are referring to Ian McWilliams. Would you remember another striker Jan Verheyan (Dutch). The first tournament he played for Seiko was會長杯北七人賽, the pre-seaon 7-a-side cup. Verheyan played so well in that cup and made Seiko fans so happy, but his good performance did not sustain throughout the season. Not sure if you know the very tall Korean striker金在漢?

Stoke stunned Spurs, haha. If you can’t manage to score you will be punished at last. History taught us many times.  I’m so sorry Spurs!!

I remember that big forward , McWilliams , no skills but a great header due to his tall and huge size and in first 2 years he scored a lot of goal by his heads but afterwards hkg local defenders got used to him and know how to keep him quiet then he disappeared gradually...

when i started to watch football 大水牛華德 was gone already...

And a belated happy birthday to Mr Wenger too (22 Oct).  Who would have guessed he could stay in Arsenal for such a long time.

Our boys were bad not to beat AZ Alkmaar with a clean sheet as a birthday gift for our Manager.  He deserves it!

Hi chanreborn, seems like we are talking about the history　of HK football!

If I remember correctly, that Seiko 5-4 was held on 28 Nov 1978, but I could be wrong as it was 30 years ago la.  Yes Seiko’s grand slam was very well known. I can’t tell you how disappointed I was after Seiko was beaten by Yuen Long in penalty shootout. I think the big guy you refer to is 大水牛華德?  Mr Chan Fat Chee was the HK 足球先生 for many years, and he is a good footballer too. I met him at a wedding banquet many years after but he was very quiet sitting with his wife and didn’t response when I looked at him, so I didn’t start a chat with him.  I have met a lot of “gweilo” footballers in a lot of occasions and I would always start a chat with them. Can you believe I saw Rui Costa in Macau in 2002 and I also talked to him briefly, haha. Rui is such a nice warm guy.

The Marathon shootout was a big classic.  At that time Ho Kam Kong and Lam Sheung Yee were the commentators on radio and they went crazy too. Even both goalkeepers took penalties too, I forgot who missed the last shot but it was the defender鄭潤如 who cost the team, coz he let N Korea’s forward 安世X scored the equalizer and the game went on to penalties. In all fairness HK should have won that game.

And yes Derek Parlane is a good striker with good techniques, and he also hardly ever gets yellow cards too, that’s what I like him most.

Even I like van Persie so much, I have to say he always has retaliation in his mind.  Just looked at the yellow card he picked up at the AK Alkzmaar game and it was not a good-looking tackle at all.

I can go on forever on HK’s football history if I don’t stop, haha.

hi persie.. glad to know u have been the fans of Seiko, me too... I started to watch football just becos of hot atmosphere due to Seiko/South China classic battles arnd 30 yrs ago..at that time it's just like 'Derby' of same city.

i only heard that classic comeback of Seiko from 4 nil down in 1st half and then won 5-4 in 2nd half.. and i heard a lot of those marathon penalty shootout between Hong Kong and N Korea in Asian cup qualifier in 1975 ? HaHa i was too young at that time..

Now North Korea will play world cup final....HongKong oh no..!!!

De Jong , Bonde , and one big tall centre forward with beard of Seiko..i forget his name like Mc....??? You know my sunday afternoon in late 70/80's always listened to RTHK live broadcast ... and in one year Seiko almost got Grand Slam but lost penalty shoot out to Yuen Lonkg in FA cup final.. i wanted to cry at that time...and from that time one new star was risen ..Chan Fat Chi...maybe no one remember him now..
